Dawn Marie Young, 37, died January 3, 2012, at Harry Hynes Hospice, Wichita. She was born February 19, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio. Dawn was an assistant manager in the retail and restaurant industries.

Survivors include: husband, Ricky Young of Hutchinson; daughters, Coco and Misty Young of Hutchinson; son, Joseph "Joey" Young of Hutchinson; grandson, Karter Young of Hutchinson; parents, Robert and Nancy Prater of Hutchinson; and sisters, Dana Edwards of Towanda, KS, and Billie Smith of Holyoke, MA.

Dawn was preceded in death by a nephew, Jeremy Lee Young; niece, Brittany Young; grandpa, Donald D. Smith; and uncle, Donald Smith.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Larry Wedel officiating. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
