Dean Ediger, 70, died Monday, July 29, 2013. He was born March 11, 1943, in Hutchinson, the son of Jake and Edna (Doerksen) Ediger.
Dean was a 1961 graduate of Inman High School, a 1967 graduate of McPherson College, served in the 346th Military Police Company of the U.S. Army, was a member of NRA, Kansas Bowhunters Association and a lifetime Salt Hawk Archery Club member. He was a farmer in McPherson County. On Sept. 3, 1965, he married Kathryn Ann Becker in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: their children, Elizabeth of Los Angeles, Calif., Evan of Edmond, Okla.; and a sister, Janet of Inman. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Jane Ediger.
Graveside service with Army military honors by Fort Riley Honor Guard will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Carey officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
