Debbie Kay Orsborn, 54, died Nov. 26, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Feb. 27, 1955, in Topeka, to Merle Max and Jacqueline Delores "Jackie" Deck Orsborn. She was a lifetime Hutchinson resident.
She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1973, Hutchinson Community College in 1978, and attended Emporia State University.
During college she worked at Cessna and was a secretary at Westbrook Baptist Church. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include: her parents Merle and Jackie Orsborn, Hutchinson; a sister, Penny Ann Palacio, Haven; two nieces; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 at Elliott Chapel, with Revs. Alan Stambaugh and Jim Swank officiating. Friends may sign the book today and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. to noon at Elliott Mortuary and both before and after the service on Monday. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
At Debbie's request, her body was donated to the Univ. of Kansas School of Medicine for research.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Public Library.
