Deborah Joene Gobble, 56, died Feb. 27, 2009, at her home, Hutchinson.
She was born Jan. 22, 1953, in Lyons, the daughter of George Luther and Virginia Mae Secrest Boggs.
She graduated from Lyons High School in 1971, and in 1987, graduated with honors from California State University, Chico, Calif.
A resident of Hutchinson for 11 years, she was a social worker and service coordinator for TECH.
She belonged to the Red Hat Society and was baptized in the Methodist church.
On Dec. 8, 1979, she married Alvin Baxter Gobble in Lyons. He survives.
Other survivors include: sons, Michael Shane Thompson and fianceé Christina Young, South Hutchinson, and Cameron L. Gobble and wife Rebecca, Hutchinson; a daughter, Jacqueline Rae Goddard and husband Ronald, Wichita; stepchildren, Joseph, California, David, Halstead, Matthew, Nickerson; and Katherine Monroe, Bethesda, Md.; her parents, George and Virginia Boggs, Lyons; a brother, Ralph Boggs, Turon; a sister, Sandra Griffin, Hutchinson; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Boggs.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Melvin Parrott presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the A.S.P.C.A., or United Methodist Church of Lyons, both in care of the mortuary.
