Debra D. Buss, 71, died February 22, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 29, 1952, in Hardtner, KS, to Marvin L. and Lila Bell (Knox) Buss.
Debra graduated from Newton High School. She worked out of her home as an upholsterer, refurbishing furniture and car interiors. Debra enjoyed going to garage sales and acquiring trinkets. Debra was a huge fan Elvis Presley and her vinyl collection included many of her favorites of his and artists of Motown. Debra loved dancing, making jewelry and Betty Boop.
Debra is survived by: fiancé, Lance Culver; daughter, Tonya Bradshaw; son, Nathan (Cassie) Porter, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Tevin Bradshaw, Bryce Jones, Natalie Porter, Landon McClintock all of Hutchinson, Makayla (Reilly) Tobias of Nebraska; sisters, Kathy (Greg) Mason of Halstead, and Tina (Carl) Whitworth of Woodward, OK; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Marvin E. Buss, and beloved dog, Lil' Bit.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary. Family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will take place at a later date in High Point Cemetery, Buffalo, OK. Friends may sign the book daily until the service, at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Debra Buss Memorial Fund (make checks payable to Elliott Mortuary), in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
