Debra K. “Debbie” Hoffman, 75, of Hutchinson, died September 9, 2026, surrounded by her family, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson. She was born in Hutchinson, on March 20, 1951, to Billy and Dona (Wilson) Taggart.

Debbie graduated from Hutchinson High School with the class of 1969. She attended Hutchinson Community College where she took classes in computer design editing. Debbie worked as a design editor for The Bee, ACS Publications, and the Hutchinson News.

On December 4, 1971, she married Myrle Hoffman, in Hutchinson. They shared 52 years of marriage before his death on September 2, 2024.

Debbie enjoyed taking her family camping. In the early days, they delighted in time at the lake in a tent and eventually progressed to a “fancy RV” that contained many adventures. Debbie was an avid Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed a good garage sale. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and fur babies. Debbie was known as the “busy grandma” always going above and beyond for her family.

Debbie is survived by: daughters, Melissa Hoffman-Finch, Kelly Polson (Shane Mog), Staci Hoffman (Chris Ward), all of Hutchinson; mother, Dona Taggart of Hutchinson; sister, Judy (Daryl) Pfeifer of Anthony, KS; brother, Mike Taggart of Hutchinson; adored grandchildren, Kelsie, Kaden, Maitlyn, Kullen, and Kamellia; beloved fur babies, Maggie and Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her: father, Bill Taggart; beloved husband, Myrle Hoffman; and daughter, Stacie Dellinger; In-Laws, Richard and Muriel “Bertie” Hoffman; grandparents, Eva Rumble and Durlin “Poppy” Wilson.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary Chapel.
