DeEtta E. Davis, 81, died Feb. 26, 2010, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Jan. 6, 1929, in Hutchinson, to Reuben and Mable Spangler Gilliland.
A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, she was a homemaker. She loved bingo. She was a member of Friends Church, Hutchinson.
On Nov. 5, 1945, she married Granville C. "Red" Davis in Hutchinson. He died Jan. 20, 2000.
Survivors include: a son, Johnny L. Davis (Dot), Hutchinson; four daughters, Barbara Barringer (Norman), Jerrie A. Pitts (Bill), Linda K. Brown (Gary), all of Hutchinson, and Theresa Salmans (Gary), Leoti; three brothers, Glenn L. Gilliland, Rawley E. "Bill" Gilliland, both of Hutchinson, and Dutch Gilliland, Missouri; sister, Shirley Keel, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Granville C. Davis Jr.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Gary D. Getting officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
