Delma L. Parker, 89, died Nov. 25, 2012, at Buhler Sunshine Home.
She was born Feb. 17, 1923, in Alden, to Arthur Leroy and Mintie (Barnes) Hargadine.
Delma graduated from Alden High School in 1941.
She married Maurice Dailey Oct. 10, 1943, in McPherson. He died Aug. 16, 1990. She married James Parker Dec. 26, 1991, in Hutchinson.
Delma was a retired nurse aide, having worked at several hospitals including Halstead, Grace, St. Elizabeth and Hutchinson Hospital. She was a member of Bethany Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include: her husband, Jim M. Parker of Buhler; five daughters, Donna Teter (Gary) of Buhler, Peggy Clark (Walter) of Burrton, Linda Coil (Ron) of Hermitage, Mo., Shirley Barton (Larry) of Queen Creek, Ariz., Sherri Hauschild (Bob) of Hutchinson; stepchildren, Nancy Hardon of Hutchinson and Carlin Parker (Val) of Vero Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and a step great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Bethany Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jay Bessmer officiating. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
