NICKERSON - Deloris Mae Schreiber, 90, died Saturday, August 25, 2012.
She was born in Little River, March 13, 1922, the daughter of Herbert and Lula Crider Briscoe.
She was a 1939 graduate of Ness City High School, a member of Nickerson United Methodist Church and was a retired certified Elementary and High School paraprofessional for the USD 308 and 309 school districts.
On June 15, 1940, she married Melvin H. Schreiber in Ness City. He died August 8, 2005. She is survived by: their children and spouses, Thomas and Cindy, Edmond, Oklahoma, and Mary Beth and Rick Curry, Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Jeff and Teresa Crabbs, Jeanie Delonais, Chelsey and Ryan Davis; seven great-grandchildren, Rachel, Dakota, Savanah and Gracie, Paxton and Kynley, Brandon; and one great-great-grandson, Alexander.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Johnson, six brothers, Dale, Dean, Donald, Delbert, Dwaine, Del Leroy Briscoe, one sister, Donna Dee, and two grandchildren, Adrian Curry and Kaelen Kasper and one great-granddaughter, Elisa Kasper.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at the United Methodist Church, Nickerson, with the Reverend Melissa L. Naylor officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Wildmead Cemetery.
