Dennis "Dink" Loyd, 63, died August 2, 2024, at Hospice House in Hutchinson.  He was born April 14, 1961, in Liberal to Dale and Bonnie Stout Loyd.  Dennis lived his life using his hands, head, and heart. He began working as a youngster with an aptitude for machinery, engines, and home remodeling. Dink was always enthusiastic to help family and friends with a no-nonsense approach of "Let's get this done!" His 18-year career with the Hutchinson Water Department gave him multiple opportunities to use his diverse skills. "Grampa" was one of his favorite titles among his six grandchildren- Jake, Cody, Rownan, Kadynce, Khiley, and Kylene. Dennis and Ann also most certainly loved their fur-friends, especially those in the Corgi family.

Dennis is survived by: his wife, Ann Etzler Loyd; mother, Bonnie Loyd; four sons, Joshua (Angie), Dustin (Lisa), Jacob, and Andrew (Mersadeez); sister, Audrey Hoffman (Dan); and brother, Herb (Melanie); and many thoughtful friends.

He is preceded in death by: his father, Harold Loyd; brother, Corvin Loyd; and sister, Guida Loyd.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community Chapel, 400 S. Buhler Rd, Buhler, KS  67522.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Storm Creek Horse Rescue in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main St, Hutchinson, KS  67501.
