Obituary

Dennis Lee Nicklin, 75, died November 5, 2020, at his home.  He was born September 30, 1945, in Great Bend, to Robert Cogswell 'Nick' and Nadine Orpha (Helm) Nicklin.

Dennis graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1963.  After graduation, he joined the United States Navy, serving from 1963-1966.   Dennis retired as a glazier.   He loved to travel, and enjoyed going on many trips. Dennis was the founding member of the Central Kansas Corvette Association (CKCA).  He LOVED his corvettes!

Dennis is survived by:  nieces and nephews, Nicole Barnes (Tod) of Pyeongtaek, South Korea, Kimberley Nicklin of Falls Church, VA, Shaun Nicklin of Golden, CO, Allison Nicklin of Philadelphia, PA; great-nephew and great-niece, Keagan and Carys Barnes of Korea; and his faithful companion, Karen Ukens of Windom.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents, and brothers, Robert 'Bob' Nicklin and Craig Nicklin.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Elliott Chapel, with Kenny Graham officiating.  Military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard.  Private family inurnment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.  Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Central Kansas Corvette Association (CKCA), in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.

In honor of Dennis, the family would like everyone who owns a Corvette to drive it to his memorial service.
