Derek William Wintamute, 42, of Hutchinson, died February 18, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born September 14, 1979, in Hutchinson, to Larry and Shirley (Grossardt) Wintamute.

Derek attended Winans and Roosevelt Elementary School, Sherman Middle School, and graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1998.  He had many different jobs, including packaging supervisor at Tyson. Growing up he enjoyed sports, especially baseball. Derek married Theresa Mora and together they had four children. He loved his children and spending time with them when he could.

Derek is survived by: parents, Larry and Shirley Wintamute, Hutchinson; daughters, Isabella Wintamute, Wichita, Marcella and Gabriella Wintamute, Hutchinson; son, David Wintamute, Hutchinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: grandparents, David and Madolene Wintamute, Melvin and Chonita Grossardt; and brother, Jason Wintamute.

A celebration of life for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
