Obituary

Dessia Mae Nieciecki, 76, died Dec. 20, 2007, in North Fort Myers, Fla.

She was born Nov. 6, 1931, in Bloomington, Ind., the daughter of Millard and Lillie Elkins Robertson. She graduated from Bloomington (Ind.) High School. A resident of Hutchinson, she was the retired owner and operator of Hearts Desire framing and needlework shops, with locations in Hutchinson, Great Bend and Wichita.

She married Ted M. Nieciecki in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, C. Kylee Swain, Hutchinson, and Teddy and her husband Ralph "Doc" Gingerich, Hutchinson; a sister, Epsie Weaver and her husband Chester, Greenfield, Ind.; two granddaughters, Kari N. Fast and her husband Javin, Hutchinson; and E. Anne Gingerich and fiancé Jason Downing, Miami, Fla.; three nephews, Lou Weaver and wife Jo, Daytona, Fla., Larry Weaver and wife Karen, Ft. Myers, Fla., and David Weaver and wife Lori, Glasgow, Ky.; and a niece, Delanna Gaither-Gilpen and husband Jim, Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Robertson.

The family will host a celebration of Dessia's life at 528 E. Avenue A, Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Friends of Animals in Need Inc., or Do Art, in care of the Hutchinson Community Foundation.
