Diane Louise Unruh, 56, died Aug. 25, 2016, at Kansas Christian Home, Newton. She was born Aug. 17, 1960, in Hutchinson, to Jerald Lee and Beverley Louise (Hartman) Way.

Diane was a 1979 graduate of Buhler High School, Buhler. Diane was known for her dry sense of humor, her generosity, and her love of animals. Some of her best friends were cats, birds, and squirrels. Every summer her front porch was graced with every color of flower imaginable.

On Dec. 31, 1984, Diane married Kenneth Unruh in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: siblings, Sandra Mourn of Hutchinson and Brad Way and wife Brenda of Haysville. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at Elliott Chapel.
