Dixie K. Heinrich, 80, of Hutchinson, died August 10, 2018, at Diversicare of Sedgwick. She was born October 1, 1937, in Oakley, Kansas, to Harley and Margaret Irene (Eads) Fulton.
Dixie graduated from Oakley High School in 1955 and cosmetology school in 1956. She was a homemaker and co-owner of the family business, Midwest Sewing Center, Wichita. Dixie enjoyed collecting unicorns and carousels, sewing, and eating at Village Inn. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.
On August 18, 1956, she married Kenneth J. Heinrich in Grinnell, Kansas. He died January 29, 2010, after sharing 53 years of marriage.
Dixie is survived by: son, Troy Heinrich and wife Mary; daughter, the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery and husband Bud; grandchildren, Kenneth Biery, Michael Biery and fiancée Azarah Eells, Margaret 'Maggie' Glover and husband Zach, and Christopher Heinrich. She was preceded in death by: her parents and brother, Gary Fulton.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1602 N. Main, with the Reverend Lennie Maxwell officiating. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
