Dixie Schoepf, 87, died September 30, 2019, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born January 29, 1932, on a farm near Sylvia, the youngest of eight children, born to Charles Fredrick and Jennie Ethel (Brown) Buggeln.

Dixie graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1949. She retired after 20 years of service as a secretary for Hutchinson National Bank & Trust Company. In addition, Dixie was involved with the American Cancer Society Board, Cancer Council of Reno County, and was a charter and board member of Haven Community Food Bank. She enjoyed playing bridge, golf, and dearly loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dixie was a founding member of the Haven Church of Christ, taking part in their ladies' Bible study.

Dixie is survived by: son, Rick Schoepf and wife Cheryl of Wichita; daughter, Robin Gingerich and husband Darrell of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Tami Vaughan and husband Brent, Jeremy Schoepf and wife Nicole, Shauna Schoepf-Pearce and husband Skip, Vanessa Martin and husband Jaman; great-grandchildren, Mila and Adley Pearce, Shayde, Harper, and Summer Schoepf, and Austin Vaughan; and Rick and Robin's father, Shep Schoepf.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; three brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, with Sonny Banning officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Huntsville. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
