Don G. Fox, 81, died May 9, 2009, at the Promise Regional Medical Center, ER, Hutchinson.
He was born Sept. 13, 1927, in Maples, Mo., the son of Milton and Florence Mae Edwards Fox.
A resident of Hutchinson since 1989, a former longtime resident of Chase, he was an independent oil operator.
On Jan. 3, 1948, he married Nina Pearl Elliott in Lyons. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Ron, Las Vegas; two brothers, Roy, Mount Carroll, Ill., and Lee, New Florence, Mo.; and a twin sister, Deanne DeWeese, Licking, Mo.; grandchildren, Brigette Fox, Lawrence, Tim Childers, Spring, Texas, and Rebecca Loges, Sterling; great-grandchildren, Braydon Fox, Mason Kintigh Fox, Sophie Fox, Xavier Loges and Sky Loges; and numerous friends and acquaintances.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Ralph, a brother, Claude, and a sister, Myrtle Hill.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Reta Joy Campbell presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
