Obituary

Don Eugene Graebner, 84, of Hutchinson, died May 27, 2023, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. He was born November 28, 1938, on the family farm near Macksville, to Jim and Vaughn (Miles) Graebner.

Don graduated from high school in Clayton, NM. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963. Don worked for many years at Cessna/Eaton, retiring as a supervisor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting, and collecting John Deere miniatures. Don was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

He married Kathleen L. Paullin. She died December 3, 2007.

Don is survived by: his son, Troy Graebner (Michelle) of Columbia, MO; grandchildren, Tiffanie Graebner of Hutchinson, Maegan Graebner of Columbia, MO, Averi Weir of Wichita Falls, TX, Matthew Weir of Azusa, CA; great-grandson, Zayden Graebner; brother, Doug Graebner (Margaret) of Hutchinson; sister, Roberta Britner (Richard) of Aurora, CO; and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Travis; brothers, Norman, Noel, Leland; and sister, Ethel Mae Anderson.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, at Fairlawn Burial Park, with military honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, at Calvary Chapel, 1400 N. Adams, Hutchinson.

Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Don Graebner Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
