Don Allen "Gus" Zimmerman was born Oct. 17, 1930 in Reno County on the family farm near Plevna, Kansas. He died Oct. 16, 2009 at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson. He was the son of John A. and Edna Mosier Zimmerman of Plevna.

He is survived by three sisters, Lavonne Farney & husband Bob, Sterling, Ruth Eagleson, Garnett, Greta Zimmerman, South Hutchinson; sister-in-law Pat Wagler and her husband Charles, Sterling; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Sterling Evangelical Bible Church with Patstors Tim Elsner and David Harder officiating. Visitation will be from noon-9p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Mennonite Manor in care of the mortuary.
