Don P. Quint, Sr.'s Obituary
Don P. Quint Sr., 79, died July 10, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 20, 1933, in Victoria, Kan., to Peter A. and Elizabeth (VonLintel) Quint.
Don graduated from Dodge City High School in 1951 and graduated from Dodge City Community College and Fort Hays State University. He was a member of Church of the Holy Cross. He retired from Dillons as a District Manager.
On July 23, 1955, he married Sylvia Pickett in Dodge City. She survives.
Other survivors include: sons, Don Quint Jr. and wife Jane of Tulsa, Okla., Michael Quint and wife Lanette of Iowa City, Iowa, Douglas Quint and wife Jeny of McPherson; grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Ben, Madeline, Anne, Kaden, Sydney, Devin; and brother, Clyde Quint of Sun City, Ariz. He was preceded in death by: parents; brothers, Clarence, Kenneth, Floyd Quint; sisters, Mabel Dreher, Mildred Kuntzsch; and daughter, Rebecca Quint.
Cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at Church of the Holy Cross, 26th and Plum, with Father Joseph Eckberg officiating. A private family inurnment will take place later this summer in Creede Cemetery in Creede, Colo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of the Holy Cross, McPherson College Men's Soccer Program or donor's choice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501
