Dona Mae Gottsch, 78, died Nov. 21, 2008, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 5, 1930, in rural Hardtner, the daughter of Paul and Gladys Reed Molz. She graduated from Hardtner High School and then from Oklahoma A&M with a degree in Home Economics. A resident of Hutchinson since 1972, moving from El Dorado, she was a home economist in Comanche County, was a homemaker, and a sales clerk at Reno Hardware, Hutchinson.
She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church, Doers Sunday School Class, National Active and Retired Federal Employees, the Riverview Lunch Bunch, and the former Riverview EHU.
On March 14, 1954, she married Harold Gottsch in Kiowa. He survives. Other survivors include: four daughters, Karen and George Thorsell, Mankato, Minn., Linda and Bob Dixon, Leavenworth, Janice and Craig Wood, Overland Park, Gayla O'Connell and her fiancé Roger Schultz, both of St. Louis; a sister, Jean Petermann, Woodward, Okla.; six grandchildren, Matthew and Colby Dixon, Corbin Wood, Monica Kreikemeier, Heather Thorsell and Jordan Wood; and two great-grandchildren, Riley and Hailee Kreikemeier.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sibling.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 26, 2008, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Pat Ault-Duell presiding. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, in Riverview Cemetery, Kiowa. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor.
