Donald Howard Diggs, 75, died September 19, 2009, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.

He was born February 14, 1934, in Sterling, to William Howard and Minnie Anna Proffitt Diggs.

He was a truck driver for Dillon's Warehouse.

He married Connie Lynn Kelley on April 9, 2004, in Newton. She survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Steve, Yukon, Okla., Jeff, Wichita, and Bill, Hutchinson; stepson, Joshua Black Diggs, Nickerson; stepdaughter, Lori Villanueva, Pratt; brother, Norman Diggs, Wichita; three sisters, Judy Georgie, Topeka, Barbara Schoenhoff, Hutchinson, and Joyce Diggs, Texas; 23 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian Diggs; and a sister, Betty Day.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Don Alexander and Norman Diggs officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Thursday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Don Diggs Memorial Fund, both in care of the mortuary.
