Donald L. Kretzer's Obituary
Donald Leroy "Sonny" Kretzer, 77, died Nov. 4, 2007, at Hospice House.
He was born Jan. 30, 1930, in Gypsum, the son of Oscar Leroy and Gladys Mae Hoffman Kretzer. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson JUCO. He was a retired electrician and custom harvester.
He belonged to Methodist Church and the IBEW-International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
On June 16, 1951, he married Evelyn L. Luna in Hutchinson. She died Feb. 4, 1991. On Nov. 16, 1992, he married Marge Carolyn Hinderliter in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Mike and Mary Jane, Derby, and Gary and Rhonda, Hutchinson; a daughter, Linda and Leland Schwartz, Hutchinson; a brother, Doug and Veta, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Sherri, Richard, Dennis, Peggy, Ray and Darren; and several step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Kretzer.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. R. Samuel Askew presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the Donald Kretzer Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
