Donald 'Don' Lee Unruh, 86, passed away November 21, 2021, at his residence.  He was born July 8, 1935, in Garden City, KS, to Edgar C. and Elda A. (Becker) Unruh.

Don was a 1953 graduate of Garden City High School, 1955 graduate of Garden City Community College in Agricultural Science, and a 1975 graduate of Kansas State University in Agricultural Science.  He was employed by Farmland Industries and worked as a quality control manager and consultant with over 30 years of service.  Don was involved in Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster in Dodge City, KS, and taught Sunday School while a member of First Christian Church, Dodge City, KS.  He was a member and served as an elder at Crossroads Christian Church, Hutchinson, KS, for over 20 years.  Don was a member of Grace Bible Church, Hutchinson, KS, for over 10 years.

On August 7, 1960, Don married Karen Sue Elland, in Garden City.  They shared over 57 years of marriage prior to her death on February 20, 2018.

He is survived by:  sister, Shirley (Homer) Bullard of Sherman, TX; sons, Michael Unruh, Gary (Stacie) Unruh of Overland Park, and Greg Unruh of Kansas City, MO; and grandchildren, Michael Unruh, Braydon (Avery) Unruh, Colby Unruh, Bryce Unruh, Keenan Unruh, Tristan Unruh, Ashton Unruh, Allie Unruh, and Audrey Unruh.

Don was preceded in death by:  his parents; wife; and sister, Nancy Lindsey.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2021, at Grace Bible Church, 1221 E. 33rd, Hutchinson, with Pastor Chuck Lambert officiating.  Burial will be in the Bucklin Cemetery, Bucklin, KS, at a later date.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 through Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary, and from 9:30 a.m. to service time Friday, December 10, 2021, with the family present at the church.
