Donald C. Lenz Jr., 87, of Hutchinson, died April 16, 2022, at his home. He was born November 28, 1934, in Dodge City, to Donald C. SR and Mabel (Dyer) Lenz.

Donald graduated from Dodge City High School in 1953. He worked as a machinist for Cessna and Eaton for 43 years. Donald loved to travel and take vacations with his family.

On November 25, 1970, he married Verona Louise Hirst, in Hutchinson. They shared 51 years of marriage.

Donald is survived by: wife, Verona Lenz, Hutchinson; children, Beth, Billy, Rozella, Krystal, Tammy, Danny, Jamie; 35 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; children, David, Donnie, Sharon, Gary, Amy; and brother, Frank.

Graveside service will be 2 pm Friday, April 22, 2022, at Fairlawn Burial Park. Those who will not be present at the service may watch a livestream on the Lenz family Facebook page. Friends may call from 9 am to 8 pm Thursday, with the family present from 5 to 7 pm at Elliott Mortuary.
