NICKERSON - Donald L. Mitzner, 44, died Oct. 17, 2006, at the Denver Health Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 17, 1962, in Nickerson, the son of Jacob Lee and Alice Davis Mitzner. He graduated in 1980 from Nickerson High School. A lifetime Nickerson area resident, he worked for Mitzner Brothers Inc.

He belonged to Fairview United Methodist Church, Nickerson.

On Jan. 13, 1995, he married Sharon Hall in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. She survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Rachel Starlin and husband, Derek, South Hutchinson; his parents, Sterling; two brothers, Charlie, Buhler, and Tim, Inman; and two grandchildren, Wesley Joseph and Lillian Rose Nicholle Starlin.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Mitzner; and grandparents, Charlie and Edith Mitzner, and Charlie and Hazel Morgan Davis.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastors Nancy Proffitt and Max Davis presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Church of God International, or the Wesley and Lillian Starlin Education Fund, Bank of Kansas, South Hutchinson, in care of the funeral home.
