Donald R. Oakley's Obituary
Donald R. Oakley, 94, died May 5, 2013, at Good Samaritan Center. He was born Jan. 28, 1919, in Cushing, Okla., to Richard V. and Nettie (Pearson) Oakley.
He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, and the American Legion. He served in the United States Army.
He married Viola May Danner on Aug. 6, 1950, in Wichita. She died Jan. 21, 2013.
Survivors include a son, Michael Oakley, Delray Beach, Florida. Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Grace Episcopal Church, 2 Hyde Park Dr., with The Rt. Rev. Michael P. Milliken officiating. Entombment will be in Grace Episcopal Columbarium. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, in care of the mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
