Donald Lee Patterson, 71, died December 1, 2019, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born September 3, 1948, in Elk City, OK, the son of Willie and Susie (Jeffers) Patterson.  Don worked for Reno County Public Works for over 20 years and then became a driver for RCAT (Reno County Area Transit) for the past 3 years. He enjoyed supporting the Christian Soup Ministry in Hutchinson.

On September 25, 2009, Don married Pamela East in Hutchinson. She survives.

Also surviving are: daughters, Tammy Bright (Troy), Nickerson, Rene Cokeley (Willie), Hutchinson; grandchildren, Tiffany Bishop, Hutchinson, Colby Bright (Ashley Cain), Hutchinson, Kyle Cokeley (Erin), South Hutchinson, Bryce Cokeley (fiancé Braeanna Bencomo), Hutchinson; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Cox, Sayre,OK; brother, Doug Patterson (Vickie), Hutchinson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; grandsons, Dalton and Zackary Bright; brothers, Johnny, Billy, Harold; and sister, Sue Ullom.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Don's life will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2019, at Elliott Chapel with Deacon Cindy Wesley officiating. Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday thru Sunday, with the family to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, at Elliott Mortuary.
