Donald Wayne "Don" Cuda, 69, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015. He was born Sept. 22, 1945, in Wichita, the son of Sammy and Mary (Miller) Cuda.
He was a 1964 graduate of Wichita East High School, a member of Park Place Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, a U.S. Army and Army National Guard veteran, American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68, American Legion Riders, a judge for the North American Dog Agility Council and the UKC. Don retired in 2001 as Head Buyer in the Meat and Deli Department for Dillons with 40 years of service.
On Feb. 26, 1972, he married Rae Ann Chastain in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, Jason (Trisha) of Atlanta, Ga. and their son, Aidyn; a brother, Ronald (Ruth Ann) of Wichita; two sisters, Linda England of Canon City, Colo., and Vicki Kirk of Goliad, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Lynn Taylor officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, with honors conducted by Ft. Riley Honor Guard in the Crocker Cemetery, Pittsburg, Kan. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
