Doneta Mae 'Donnie' Ross, 90, of Hutchinson, died Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born April 22, 1928, in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of George and Mary (Clady) Young.

Donnie graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1946. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked in insurance company administration and was an administrative assistant for NFL referee, Red Cashion. Donnie loved to paint, garden, and collect Santas and Raggedy Ann dolls. She was a member of the United Church of Christ.

On October 27, 1946, Donnie married Robert Resolved Ross Sr. in Bucyrus, OH. He died January 18, 2013.

She is survived by: son, Robert 'Bob' R. Ross Jr. and wife Mary Ann, Hutchinson; daughter, Elizabeth 'Betsy' Ross, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Christine Pechstein, Hutchinson, Heather Garbarini and husband Craig, Orlando, FL, and Malia Ross, Hutchinson; and great-grandchildren, Emani Castro, Raje Castro, Ayanna Castro-Ross, Rosslyn Garbarini, and Brodie Garbarini. Donnie was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; daughter, Rebecca 'Becky' Ross; and sister, Betty Jean Mills.

Cremation has taken place. Per Donnie's wishes, no services are planned. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
