Donna A. Cartwright's Obituary
Donna A. Cartwright, 92, passed away July 4, 2011 at Thorne Care Center. She was born April 12, 1919 in Langdon to Arthur E. and Estella A. Miller Hobbs. She graduated from Langdon High School and Wichita State University.
On June 19, 1960, she married Howard B. Cartwright at Arlington. He passed away November 30, 1982.
A resident of Arlington since 1983, coming from Wichita, Donna taught school for 43 years in Reno County, Manhattan and Wichita. She was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church, Senior Citizens and United Methodist Women's Association.
Survivors include step daughter, Marjorie Ann Freitag, Kent, WA; cousin, Emily Hughes, Hesston; 3 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Pearl A. Hobbs and an infant sister, Doris Hobbs.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Greenwood Cemetery, Wichita with Reverend Dennis Wallace officiating. Visitation will be noon-9 pm Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Arlington United Methodist Church in care of the mortuary.
