Donna L. Chronister's Obituary
INMAN - Donna L. Chronister, 64, died July 30, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Sept. 7, 1943, in Wichita, the daughter of Edgar H. and Crystal L. Niemeyer Mabry. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1961, and Salt City Business College. She had formerly worked in the president's office at Hutchinson Community College, and Dillons Corporate Offices in Hutchinson. She then worked as an assistant warehouse manager at Quality Home Foods and was a salesclerk at Tommy Hilfiger, both at Las Vegas.
She belonged to Westside Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Ron and wife Christina, Derby, and Steve and wife Deb, Nickerson; a daughter, Diann Chastain, Hutchinson; a sister, Joyce Overmyer, Round Hill, Va.; a nephew, Larry Sain; and nine grandchildren, Amanda, Adam, Abby and Arlen Chastain, Kayla and Steven Chronister II, and Isabell, Parker and Sophia Chronister.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Blake Chastain.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Eldon Smith presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland or the donor's choice, both in care of the mortuary.
