Obituary

Donna Lee Kelley, 80, of Hutchinson, died September 25, 2020, at Hospice House. She was born October 6, 1939, in Russell, to Walter and Elsie (Weymaster) Schmidt.

Donna graduated from Hoisington High School in 1957 and Salt City Business College. She worked as a secretary at Plaza Astle Realty for 45 years until she retired. Donna was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and secretary. Donna also volunteered at Christian Soup Ministry, Inc., Hutchinson Hospital, and Food-4-Kids.

On April 10, 1960, she married Floyd C. Kelley, in Hoisington. They later divorced.

Donna is survived by: children, Denise Welch (Thomas), Charles Kelley (Robin), all of Hutchinson; granddaughters, Mindy Manning (Dusty), Hutchinson, Kristin Piña (Zach), Hutchinson, Chelsey Buttrey (James), Eldridge, MO, Shelby Kelley (fiancé, Eric Sanchez), Lakewood, CO; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Manning, Isaiah, Dominik, Preston, and Hudson Piña, Charli, Soyer, Qaidn, Kai, and Eisley Buttrey; great-great-grandchild, Ayla Chapin; brother-in-law, Jerry Hickle, and a niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by: her father; mother, Elsie Cain; stepfather, Thomas Cain; and sister, Jolene Hickle.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020, at First Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Sherman St., with The Reverend John Chastain officiating. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
