BUHLER – Donna Faye Lusk, 82, died Sept. 27, 2015, at Buhler Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler. She was born June 22, 1933, in Greensburg, to Ernest and Emma (Miles) Swisher.
She graduated from Greensburg High School in 1954 and attended Emporia State University. She was a homemaker, sold real estate for a year and was an active member of Nickerson United Methodist Church. She was past president of the United Methodist Women's Association, sang for 18 years at College Hill United Methodist Church, head of the Wichita P.T.A., area project manager for Walk for Mankind, and leader of Brownies, Girls Scouts and Blue Birds.
On May 26, 1953, she married Keith Norman Lusk in Oklahoma City, Okla. He died Jan. 4, 2001. Survivors include: son, Matthew Lusk and wife Jan of Hutchinson; daughter, Judy Griggs of Grand Junction, Colo.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Poltera of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by: her parents; daughters, Marsha Lusk and Karen Gore; and brother, Clinton Swisher, during WWII.
Funeral service will be 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Nickerson United Methodist Church, Nickerson, with Reverend Melissa Naylor presiding. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Alpine Cemetery, Olivet, Kan. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
