Dora Mignon Scott, 82, died January 17, 2014, at Thorne Care Center. She was born September 14, 1931, in Arlington, KS, the daughter of Guy and Isma Borders Thrasher.

She married Graydon L. Scott in 1949. He died March 30, 2008. Mignon graduated from Arlington High School and later from Sidney's Hairdressing College. She was a hair stylist and co-owner of Nan's Flower Shop along with her daughter. She was very active in the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church where she was a part of UMW, Sunshine Circle, and made noodles and pies for the SHUMC State Fair cafeteria for over 45 years. Mignon was very artistic and loved doing watercolor paintings.

She is survived by: daughters, Laura Harrell and husband Jim, Sardis, MS, and Nan Hawver and husband Jerry, Hutchinson; sons, John Scott, Hutchinson, and Steve Scott and wife Michelle, Wichita; grandchildren, Tab Harrell, Troy Harrell, Chris Hawver, Jill Peck and husband Scott, Matthew Scott, and Corey Scott; great-grandsons, Cade, Nick, and Jack Hawver, Graydon, and Cameron Peck; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and an infant daughter, Jo Lynn Scott, sister, Edith Day, and brothers, Phil and Clint Thrasher.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, South Hutchinson, with Pastor Warren Hett presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
