Doris Lorraine Brentlinger, 75, died Sept. 3, 2006, at Hospice House.

She was born Dec. 24, 1930, in rural Reno County near Sterling, the daughter of George and Florence Tucker Stiggins. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1948. She was a homemaker and worked at Hadley Day Care Center for seven years.

She belonged to South Hutchinson United Methodist Church.

On June 19, 1949, she married Leonard F. Brentlinger in Hutchinson. He died May 22, 2000.

Survivors include: their children, Debbie Suttles (Dan), Clearwater, Karen Reade (Ron), Hutchinson, and Mike Brentlinger (Nancy), Sterling; four sisters, Grace Hutchinson, Worley, Idaho, Fairy Montgomery, Hutchinson, Estella Mae Wiens, Willow Street, Penn., and Mary Ann Taylor, Lancaster, Texas; and six grandchildren, Jennifer and Melanie Suttles, Katie Link (Steve), Kevin Reade, and Brian and Brad Brentlinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Linda; and a brother, Ted Stiggins.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Richard E. Zimmerman presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
