Obituary

Doris E. Hall, 92, died Feb. 10, 2010, at Thorne Care Center.

She was born July 3, 1917, in Hutchinson, to William A. and Mildred Feese Randles.

She married F. Arthur "Art" Hall on Aug. 15, 1937, in Hutchinson. He died Aug. 5, 2004.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, American Legion Women's Auxiliary Unit #68, Moose Letter Carriers Auxiliary and Wheatheart Camping Club.

A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, she retired in 1976 as Secretary for Hutchinson Community College. She was also a local operator for Southwestern Bell and employed by the Reno County Courthouse in the Tag Department and Tax Department.

Survivors include son, Michael Allen Hall and wife Linda, Topeka, daughter, Delores Ann "DeeAnn" McGuire and husband Tom, Hutchinson brother, William C. "Bill" Randles and wife Dorthie, Henderson, Neb., sister, Sybil A. Nethercot, Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Ryan McGuire and wife Michelle, Bentonville, Ark., Kelly Nelson and husband Bradley, Hutchinson, and Dr. Benjamin Hall and wife Amanda, Madison, Wis.; and two great grandsons, Matthew and Derek McGuire.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jeanine I. Rishel officiating. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Hospice of Reno County in care of the mortuary.
