Doris M. Marshall, 86, died July 4, 2006, at Thorne Care Center, Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.
She was born Sept. 6, 1919, in Fort Worth, Te-xas, the daughter of Francis Emil and Estelle Gertrude George Bittick. A resident of Hutchinson for the last 30 years, she was a freelance artist and also worked as a commercial artist for Wileys and Pegues.
She was a former member of Daughter's of the American Revolution.
On Feb. 10, 1940, she married Thomas R. Marshall in Kansas City, Mo. He died Feb. 20, 1992. Her husband, Tom, was with Carey Salt Co.
Survivors include: three daughters, Sue Ward and husband, Joel, Pantego, Texas, Merry Lee Meizelis and husband, Frank, Dunlap, Ill., and Jacquelyn Johnston and husband, Russell, Hutchinson; five grandchildren, Joel Ward II, Michael Ward, Lee Ann Lenz, Karry Sue Hunt and Christopher Perry; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Cook.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Art Maddock presiding. A private family graveside service will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
