Doris Elaine Sutton, 91, died March 17, 2022, at Pleasant Hills, Hutchinson.  She was born July 13, 1930, in Dodge City, to Clarence Sherman and Goldie May (Hanna) Bishop.

Doris graduated from Dodge City High School in 1948, and Emporia State Teacher's College in 1952, where she studied English, speech and music.  Her hobbies included reading, traveling, volunteering, and attending or taking part in anything related to music. Doris was a member of PEO Chapter CM (since 1965), and Park Place Christian Church, Hutchinson.

On June 8, 1952, she married Jack Edward Sutton, in Dodge City.  He died February 23, 2016, after they shared 63 years of marriage.

Doris is survived by: son, Michael D. Sutton (Deb) of Fort Collins, CO; daughter, Pamela Hartzler (David) of Harrisonville, MO; grandchildren, Jennifer Sutton Burns (Craig), Todd Sutton (Kelli), Whitney Hartzler (fiancé, Beau Sellers), and Stephanie Sharp (Lamont); and great-grandchildren, Dylan Burns, West Sutton, Orion Sutton, Will Sellers, and Luca Sharp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Jack.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2022, at Elliott Chapel.  Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday.
