Doris Juanita Smith Winslow, 101, died Sept. 10, 2006, at Medicalodge, Goddard.
She was born April 19, 1905, in Hoisington, the daughter of Harry H. and Mary Ann Knight Smith. She was a 1923 graduate of Hoisington High School. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, moving from Pratt in 1943, she was a homemaker and co-owner and operator of Winslow Printing for more than 30 years.
She belonged to Park Place Christian Church, Hutchinson.
On June 5, 1923, she married Maurice Paul Winslow at her parents' home in Hoisington. He died April 1, 1975.
Survivors include: a son, Robert and wife, June, Hutchinson; a daughter, Mary Ann Marx, Mount Hope; six grandchildren, Roberta Wayne, Ellsworth, Ind., Wayne Winslow, Hutchinson, Don Winslow, Normandy, Tenn., Paula Zollinger, Derby, Linda Peterson, Hutchinson, and Cindy Maley, Henderson, Nev.; 14 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gilbert Marx; a great-great-grandson; four brothers, Leo, Ray, Clarence and Chester Smith; and three sisters, Alta Sette, Liela Johnson and Goldie Smith.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Kim Biery presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the mortuary. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
