Dorothy Mae Anderson, 68, passed away surrounded by her family on Dec. 19, 2015, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 20, 1947, in Hutchinson, to Reuben F. and Christine J. (Haas) Bartholomew. Dorothy retired in 2007 from Skaets Steak Shop after 30 years.

Dorothy is survived by: children, David Eugene Anderson of Lacey, Wash., Ernest Edward Anderson Jr., of Olympia, Wash., Joyce Ann Cedeno and Dorothy Michelle Anderson, both of Hutchinson; sisters, Donna Bartholomew of Hutchinson, and Lou Mercer of Pueblo, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father; mother, Christine Stratton; brother, Jake Bartholomew; sisters, Josephine Flora and Mary Shea; grandson, Alex Anderson; great grandson, Juan Penaloza; and former husband, Ernest Anderson Sr.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Quintin Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
