Dorothy L. Armour's Obituary
Dorothy L. Armour, 93, died June 7, 2007 at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born Dec. 17, 1913 in Haven, the daughter of Guy W. and Laura Peckham Astle. She graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended George Washington University, Washington, D.C. and received her bachelor's degree in political science from Washburn University. A resident of Hutchinson since 1922, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church, PEO Chapter BY and was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority at Washburn University.
On May 1, 1938, whe married Thomas G. Armour in Hutchinson. He died May 19, 1991.
Survivors include: two sons, Tom, Jr. and Michael, both of Hutchinson; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, LaFaun Errett and Genevieve Ellish.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson with the Rev. Sara Davis Blodgett presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the mortuary.
Memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army or to Hospice of Reno County, both in care of the mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
