Obituary

Dorothy May Corley, 88, died Aug. 13, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

She was born Aug. 8, 1921, in Middleburg, Md., the daughter of Wilbur and Ada May Frounfelter Stonesifer.

A beautician and homemaker, she was a member of the First Congregational Church and loved to spend time with her friends playing Bingo at Delos V. Smith Senior Center.

On Dec. 31, 1943, she married William B. Corley in Greenville, S.C. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William B. Corley, Hutchinson; a son, William B. Corley III and wife, Gloria, of Doniphan, Mo.; a daughter, Renee Lippincott and husband, Dean, of Sterling; five grandchildren, Michael Gaughan, Matthew Lippincott, Kelley Lippincott-Chura, T.J. Lippincott and Nicholas Lippincott; and a great-grandson, Kiernan Gaughan. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Gaughan, and a brother, Fred Mentzel.

Celebration of Life Service will be 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at First Congregational Church with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation has taken place.

Memorials may be sent to the church, in care of the mortuary.
