Dorothy May Ensz, 84, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born at Newton November 28, 1928, the daughter of George T. and Marie Kroeker Schierling.
She was a 1946 graduate of Newton High School and 1947 graduate of Adela Hale Business College.
Dorothy had been a bank teller at First National Bank, Hutchinson, for 33 years, retiring in 1992.
On August 13, 1947, she married George W. Ensz in Newton. He survives. Other survivors include: a son, Stan and his wife Terry of Olathe; a daughter, Sandy and her husband Lorin Culver of Wichita; a brother, George T. Schierling Jr. and his wife LaVerna, of Newton; two sisters-in-law, Lula Schierling of Pueblo, Colorado, and Virginia Schierling of Newton; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Irvin and Harry Schierling.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Buhler Municipal Cemetery.
