Obituary

Dorothy B. Exposito, 82, died March 10, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

She was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Monett, Mo., the daughter of Roy C. and Vesta Mae Kelley Allen.

She graduated from Monet Missouri High School in 1944. A resident of Hutchinson since 1950, she worked at the Hutchinson High School cafeteria for 24 years.

On May 19, 1946, she married Benjamin "Ben" Exposito in Albany, Mo. Ben at the time was attending watch making school in Albany. He died Feb. 6, 2000.

Survivors include: sons, Parker and wife Bev, Hutchinson, and Lynn and wife Norma, Partridge; and daughter, Peggy Chappel, Hutchinson. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, which gave her much pleasure in life. They are Derrick and Kane Chappel, Cherish Pulliam, and Hope Neal, Nathan and Quinton Pulliam, and Lizzie and Andrew Neal.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard McCormick, Roy C. Allen, Jr., and a sister, Billy Jo Dinan.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday March 13, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Larry Wedel presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County in care of the mortuary.
