Dorothy Marvin's Obituary
Dorothy Marvin, 97, died April 9, 2008, with staff she loved from the Good Samaritan Center and Hospice Care of Kansas at her side.
She was born March 20, 1911, at Milwaukee, the daughter of Fredrich and Julia Pleva Mentzel.
She lived in Milwaukee for 90 years, and lived in Menomonie Wis. from 2001 to 2004, and then she moved to Hutchinson with her only daughter and her family. She loved to paint and she spent many of her senior years doing so.
On Dec. 11, 1943, she marred Philip Marvin in Rolla Mo. He died June 25, 1966.
Survivors include: daughter, Sandy Samuelson and her husband Dick, of Nickerson; four granddaughters, Julia Olson, Melisa Boren, Cara Samuelson, Kristen Barnard; three great-grandchildren, Cody Boren, Carsten Boren, and Jenna Kothlow.
A private family service will be held in Wis.
