Dorothy Lois Thomas, 74, died July 18, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born July 3, 1932, in Red Key, Ind., the daughter of Clyde and Wavelyn Hoppes. She graduated from Peru High School, Peru, Ind., and attended nur-se's training in Indianapolis for two years. A longtime resident of Salina, moving to Hutchinson last year, she was a homemaker.

She belonged to United Methodist Church, Salina.

On Sept. 6, 1953, she married Donald M. Thomas in Peru, Ind. He died March 12, 2005.

Survivors include: two sons, Jeff Thomas and wife, Diane, Lawrence, and Mark Thomas and wife, Debbie, Elk Grove, Calif.; a daughter, Vicki Teter and husband, Douglas, Hutchinson; a brother, Bob Hoppes and wife, Connie, Rochester, Ind.; two sisters, Joyce Glassburn and husband, Erl, Kokomo, Ind., and Mary Thomas and husband, Dale, Lockport, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Blaine Teter and Cassie Thomas.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Church of the Nazarene, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Darrell Bisel presiding. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
