DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy Dorine Wall Schulke, 89, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010.
She was born Aug. 14, 1920, in Hutchinson, the daughter of the late Harry E. and Minnie Wadsack Wall.
Dorothy attended Hutchinson Junior College and then attended Lakeland Junior College in Mattoon IL, where she received her dental hygienist degree. She worked at Hutchinson Medical Center, then went to work for her brother, Dr. William Wall, as a dental hygienist in Charleston, IL, working there for 30 years until her retirement at the age of 80. She was a member of the Illinois Dental Hygienist Association and a member of Stony Point Christian Church in Kansas City, KS.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Collier and her husband Homer; grandchildren, Chris Waugh and her husband Boyd, Penny Allen and her husband Jason, Cindy Collier, Harold Collier and his wife Lacey, Brenda Park and her husband Mike; 12 great-grandchidren; a great-great-grandchild; brothers, Dr. William Wall, Phillip F. Wall and his wife LeeAnn; sister, Shirley Leslie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Wall; sister-in-law, Gertrude Wall; and brother- in- law, Harland Whorton.
The family will receive friends at Elliott Mortuary on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service, which will be held at 2 p.m. at Eastside Cemetery in Hutchinson, KS, with local arrangements by Elliott Mortuary & Crematory in Hutchinson, KS.
