Dorothy K. "Dottie" Wilson, 80, died Jan. 25, 2007, at Kansas Medical Center, Andover.
She was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Germantown, Pa., the daughter of Joseph B. and Henrietta Guckus Knipe. She graduated from Stevens School for Women, Germantown, and attended Pennsylvania State University. A longtime Hutchinson resident, moving to Wichita after retirement, she was the retired former co-owner of Wilson Water Systems and The Yarn Yard.
She was of the Presbyterian faith.
On April 9, 1949, she married Leon "Sonny" Wilson.
Survivors include: three sons, Thomas J. and wife, Melody, Olathe, and Todd L. Wilson, Hutchinson, and Eric A. and wife, Beth, both of Hutchinson; three daughters, Meredith A. Russell and husband Raymond, Milton, Stephanie W. Jensen and husband, Tom, Wichita, and Elizabeth Jones and husband, Carl, Richmond, Va.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Leon "Sonny" Wilson; two brothers; and a sister.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Eldon Smith presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Monday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
