Dorothy Wright, 77, died April 11, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was born Oct. 15, 1931, in Walnut, the daughter of Richard and Vera Hook Webb.

She was a long-time Hutchinson resident, previously living in Mullinville.

She graduated from St. Teresa High School, Hutchinson, the class of 1949. She was a retired insurance agent with Wade Patton Insurance, Hutchinson, and previously worked for Southwestern Bell, and owned and operated Wright Sundries, Mullinville. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, a member of the Altar Society of the church, the Women of the Moose of the Loyal Order of The Moose #982, Insurance Women of Kansas, volunteered at the Salvation Army, and was an avid bowler and golfer.

Survivors include: sons, Charles Wright and wife Diana, Oakdale, Calif. and Mark Wright and wife Lisa, Hutchinson; brothers, Richard Webb and wife Mary, South Hutchinson, James Webb and wife Eunice, Hutchinson, and Bill Webb and wife Nancy, Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Elizabeth Baier and husband Ray, Garden City, and Joan Baudoin and husband Larry, Hutchinson; six grandchildren, David Orth-Wright, Kristina Evans, Jennifer Weathers, Andrea Wright, Joseph Wright, and Sara Tibbett; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Louise and Lionel Mailloux, and a granddaughter, Angela Beth Wright in 1980.

Parish Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday prior to Mass at the St. Teresa Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Father Joe Eckberg officiating. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
